The Journal of Hepatology is the official journal of EASL. It publishes original papers, reviews and letters to the editor concerned with clinical and basic research in the field of Hepatology.

All EASL members receive 12 monthly issues for free as part of their membership.

According to EASL policy, an entirely new Editorial Team is assembled every five years. The new Editorial Team was established mid-September 2009. The newly established Geneva based Editorial Office took over management of manuscripts on 15 September, 2009.

As of January 2010, the Journal of Hepatology will undergo many changes.  New sections will appear such as International Hepatology presenting short commentaries on recent paper of interest from other journals in the field of hepatology.  Every issue will also contain a Focus page, dedicated to highlighting the most salient articles within each issue.  In addition to content, the Journal of Hepatology has a new design, with improved graphics and images.

The Journal is published on a monthly basis by Elsevier for EASL and is also available online via the EASL Members' zone.
