This is a very exciting opportunity to help shape WHO's hepatitis treatment strategy and to lead the development of some of the key normative documents that will help countries to plan their treatment scale-up. There is also a strong focus on improving the estimation of burden of disease and on defining research priorities. As countries begin to develop their treatment programs, there will also be opportunities for country technical assistance.
