What is HEPAMAP?

The HEPAMAP is an advocacy tool written specifically for European hepatologists to highlight the further research needed with a view to influencing the EU research agenda, but also to raise awareness of liver disease more generally and its links with lifestyle factors such as obesity and alcohol, as well as with metabolic and cardiovascular disease and cancer.

  • Hepamap defines the links between the liver and other disease areas; metabolic and cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
  • Hepamap identifies the risk factors liver disease; obesity, alcohol.
  • Hepamap provides support to H2020 in achieving its health research goals and objectives.
  • Hepamap contributes to increased awareness of liver disease.
  • Hepamap highlights the need for further liver research funding.
