EASL has finally opened its new office in Brussels. Located in the Schuman district right opposite the office of the EU Commissioners, EASL will be sharing office space with EUROCARE, a partner organization on alcohol policy at EU level.
As of Monday 7 September we also have two new staff working on EU policy and advocacy. Aleksandra Kacsmarek will take the lead on Alcohol and Food Policy and be responsible for advising EASL on its strategy in this area, as well as advocating for better EU policies.
Laura Capitaine has joined us as the Science and Research Policy Officer. Laura will be responsible for liaison with DG Research and the Industry and Research Committee in the European Parliament and keeping EASL and its members up to date with the latest EU research news and funding opportunities.
