About ISCHS 2017

The main aim of the 19th ISCHS Symposium is to provide a forum for basic scientists and clincal researchers to meet and discuss recent developments in research on the biology of the cells of the hepatic sinusoid in health and disease. A second and equally important aim is to provide a forum for young investigators to present their work in a friendly and supportive environment.

ISCHS 2017 Highlights

• Inaugural address to be given by Dr. Fergus Shanahan, Director of the world-renowned Science Foundation Ireland (SFI)-funded APC Microbiome Institute in Cork Ireland.

• 2017 marks the 40th anniversary of the First International Kupffer Cell Symposium, held in The Netherlands in 1977. To mark the occasion Dr. Eddie Wisse (The Netherland), co-organiser of that meeting will reflect on research developments in the field from those early days.
