WHO puts viral hepatitis at the top of its agenda for the next World Health Assembly

Mark Thursz, EASL Vice Secretary commented:

'EASL is delighted to see that WHO has chosen to put viral hepatitis at the top of its agenda for the next World Health Assembly. As viral hepatitis is one of EASL's key priorities we have been working closely with the World Hepatitis Alliance to provide a solid scientific case in support of WHO action. We will continue to support the work of the World Hepatitis Alliance to ensure that this resolution is confirmed at the World Health Assembly in May in order to promote best clinical practice within the public health and specialist communities and for the benefit of our patients.'
