Don’t miss the Guinness World Record: WHD 2012 July 28!

Be part of the World Hepatitis Alliance Guinness World Record attempt to celebrate World Hepatitis Day 2012 on July 28!

The aim is simple: to encourage the most people possible around the planet to perform the “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” actions in 24 hours at multiple venues around the world

Participate and share on Twitter now!

Tweet a picture of you together with the hashtag #seehearspeakno performing one of the three wise monkey actions (either covering your eyes or your ears or you mouth) or of a group of three people performing all three. Photos will be automatically uploaded onto an online photography album and all participants will receive an automatic response message promoting the global Guinness World Record.

These actions relate to a proverb known as the ‘3 wise monkeys’ covering their eyes, ears and mouth. There are of course many meanings attached to the proverb, but it is mostly used to refer to those who deal with problems by refusing to acknowledge them. This theme has been chosen to highlight that, around the world, hepatitis is still being ignored despite the fact that 1 in 12 persons is living with the disease.

In order to support this year's campaign, EASL has produced 3 wise hepatocytes and will be raising awareness through facebook and twitter.

Help us to spread the word and take part in this global event. For more information please see: http://www.worldhepatitisalliance.org/WorldHepatitisDay/GuinnessWorldRecord.aspx

Stop covering your eyes, ears and mouth and let’s confront hepatitis together!

On the theme of hepatitis, this year EASL and AASLD have joined forces to develop a Special Conference on Therapy of Hepatitis C. So join us in Prague and keep pace with the latest developments on clinical application and drug development. Sign-up today!
