Entry level research fellowship
Dame Sheila Sherlock EASL Fellowship Programme
Open to all registered EASL members, aiming to enhance the mobility of investigators within different European institutions through actively promoting scientific exchange among research units in Hepatology.
Up to 3 Entry Level research fellowships of 30,000 EUROS each are awarded every year.
Each fellowship is granted for a period of 12 months. Application form and conditions can be downloaded below.

Application:
- Applications are reviewed by experts nominated by the EASL Scientific Committee.
- Applicants are notified by March 31st.
- Successful applicants are requested to attend the EASL International Liver CongressTM during which winners are announced.
- The Fellowship should begin at the latest by the end of the year of the awarded grant.
- Requests for renewal for an additional year may be made not later than 2 months before the termination of the Fellowship, pending a progress report accompanied by a letter from the tutor detailing the evolution of the project. The EASL Scientific Committee may renew the Fellowship further to the acceptance of the report.
Conditions:
- The applicant must be a registered EASL member.
- The applicant must not hold a permanent position.
- The hosting institution shall be in a different European country from the home institution
- The hosting institution shall be European.
- No more than 1 application per hosting and home department will be considered.
- The head of the hosting research shall be an EASL member.
- There will be no restriction on the applicant's nationality.
The application should include:
- a letter of support from the hosting institution
