Entry-level Research Fellowship
Dame Sheila Sherlock EASL Fellowship Programme
Open to all registered EASL members, aiming to enhance the mobility of investigators within different European institutions through actively promoting scientific exchange among research units in Hepatology.
Up to 3 Entry-Level Research Fellowships of 30,000 € each are awarded every year.
Each fellowship is granted for a period 1 year.

Application:
- Application for the Entry-Level Research Fellowship is open from September 30 - November 30
- Applications are reviewed by the EASL Scientific Committee Reviewers (2 external experts nominated by the EASL Scientific Committee and 2-3 members of the EASL Scientific Committee)
- Applicants are notified by February 15
- Successful applicants are requested to attend the EASL International Liver CongressTM during which the winners are announced
- Fellowship should begin at the latest by the end of the year of the awarded grant
- Requests for renewal, for an additional year, may be made no later than 2 months before the termination of the fellowship, pending a progress report accompanied by a letter from the tutor detailing the evolution of the project. The EASL Scientific Committee may renew the fellowship further to the acceptance of the report
Conditions:
- Application should be made in English
- Applicant must be a registered EASL member
- Applicant must not hold a permanent position
- Hosting institution shall be in a different European country from the home institution
- Hosting institution has to be European
- No more than 1 application per hosting and home department will be considered
- Head of the hosting research unit has to be an EASL member but must not be EASL Governing Board representative
- No restriction on the applicant's age or nationality
