EASL FP7 Support

EASL’s EU Framework Programme (FP7) Support Programme

There is a need for high quality applications to the European Union for funding to support research into liver disease. To encourage members to apply for these EU grants, EASL has set-up the EU Framework Programme Application Support Scheme.

EASL support is open to groups of individuals led by one or more EASL members who would like to apply for funding within one of the EU Framework Programme Calls. The EASL Governing Board selects a minimum of one application per year.  The maximum grant awarded is €20,000 (€10,000 per stage of the EU application process, with second stage grants conditional of success at first stage of the application to the Commission).

In line with the Commission’s new two-stage Call submission process, this year EASL will provide support in two stages.

Initial applications should include:
  • A list of the proposed applicants
  • 2-3 page outline describing; the area of research and how this fits to the EU call, the expertise of the applicants
  • A statement of how the group will bring added value to the research area
Stage II applications Second stage applications for support should be sent to the EASL office by 14th January 2013”.

The information provided at this second stage should include:
  • Proof of the Consortium’s success at first stage of the application process (i.e. copy of letter received from the Commission)
  • Concise CVs (max. one page) of the proposed applicants
  • 5 page outline detailing
