Dominique-Charles Valla
Prof. Dominique-Charles Valla studied medicine at the University of Caen and then at the Pierre-et-Marie Curie-Paris 6 University. He spent 30 months as a research fellow at the Liver Unit, Hôpital Saint Luc, University of Montreal in Montreal, Quebec. He has been head of the Liver Unit at Hôpital Beaujon, Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, since 1999, and Professor of Hepatology at the Denis Diderot-Paris 7 University. He is the founder and coordinator of the French national reference center for vascular diseases of the liver. Dominique Valla has been associate editor of the Journal of Hepatology, and the co-founder and coordinator of the European network for vascular diseases of the liver. His clinical practice includes all fields of hepatology and his research focuses on vascular diseases of the liver.
