Prof. Dr. Heiner Wedemeyer ended his term as Secretary General during the EASL Business Meeting in Berlin 2011 at the occasion of the International Liver Congress™ and handed over to Prof. Mark Thursz who will now continue his duties at EASL as the new Secretary General.

Scientific Committee members, Prof. Darius Moradpour and Dr Ramon Bataller together with Educational Councillor, Prof. Peter L.M. Jansen stepped down from their respective positions leaving the EASL Governing Board with a newly appointed Vice-Secretary, Prof. Markus Peck-Radosavljevic, Scientific Committee members, Profs. Frank Lammert and Matías A. Avila, and Educational Councillor, Prof. Jean-Francois Dufour. The contact details and positions of all the new Governing Board members can be found below.
