On Wednesday, 29th May, EASL and UEG joined forces to mark World Health Digestive Day with an event in Brussels. World Digestive Health Day 2013 has for theme "LIVER CANCER: Act Today. Save Your Life Tomorrow. Awareness. Prevention. Detection. Treatment." Following the well-attended event EASL and UEG issued a joint press statement emphasising the importance of prioritising liver disease research.
A review of 260 epidemiological studies published in the last 5 years to survey the current state of evidence on the burden of liver disease in Europe and its causes.

The association's insignia is a registered trademark and the property of EASL. The EASL logo can therefore only be used as designated and approved by the association. Any use of the association's name must also be approved by the association and the EASL Office.
